The Climate Crisis Does Not Wait.
Neither Should Your Training.
The 2nd Cohort of the Diploma in Climate Activism raised the bar on every dimension — higher accountability, deeper content, and a merit-based selection that ensured every seat was earned. The result: graduates who scored as high as 94% and are now leading real climate action across Pakistan.
Lessons Learned. Standards Raised. Results Delivered.
When you run a program, you learn what works and what reveals gaps in commitment. The first cohort taught the Climate Action Skills team a critical lesson: free programs attract curious people, but intensive programs demand dedicated ones. With nearly 60% dropout rates recorded in earlier no-fee initiatives, the second cohort introduced a nominal fee of Rs1,000, not as a revenue mechanism but as a commitment filter.
The result was transformative. Dropout rates fell dramatically. Participants arrived for every Saturday session prepared to engage. The 24/7 mentoring support was no longer underused. And the final results reflected what genuine commitment looks like: top scorers at 94%, with participants from across Pakistan demonstrating mastery of complex topics ranging from carbon cycles to international climate agreements.
This cohort ran from September to November, with classes held every Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, designed specifically for professionals and graduates with demanding weekday schedules. The intensive structure, however, made no concessions to comfort. Twenty-six lectures. Seven hundred quiz questions. One field assignment. One writing assignment. And the non-negotiable requirement of 80% attendance and 70% passing marks.
Standards Required to Graduate
- Minimum 80% attendance across all sessions
- Minimum 70% marks on all assessments
- Completion of field work assignment
- Completion of writing assignment
- Active participation in 700 quiz questions
- 24/7 mentoring available throughout program
This was not a casual course. It demanded 80% attendance and 70% marks from day one. That commitment filtered in the right people, and what we produced was a cohort of serious, capable climate advocates.

A Sincere Word Before You Apply
