A program that drew practitioners, not beginners.
The first cohort of the Advanced Certificate in Climate Finance drew mid-career professionals and senior officials from across the climate, finance and sustainability sectors, including a senior official from a partner organization of the Green Climate Fund. That response confirmed the program was built to meet a genuine gap in professional climate-finance training, not to serve as a general climate-awareness course. The strong interest in that first batch is what has prompted this second intake.

How Registration Works for This Batch
Pre-registration for Batch 2 opened after the strong response to Batch 1, and has already passed 80 pre-registered professionals, well beyond the 50 needed to move forward. With that mark crossed, Climate Action Skills is now sending confirmation invitations to pre-registered professionals, asking each to pay 10% of the course fee, Rs 3,250 of the full Rs 32,500 (the program is 90% funded), within a specified deadline, with three reminders sent before that deadline closes. The batch is expected to commence towards the end of November, subject to reaching the required number of confirmed, paid participants, and will run for approximately 10 weeks.
